	<title><![CDATA[Disturbance lesních ekosystémů ve Vysokých Tatrách]]></title>
	<description><![CDATA[<p>N&aacute;sleduj&iacute;c&iacute; č&aacute;st tohoto kurzu se zab&yacute;v&aacute; webovou aplikac&iacute; BLIF2, kter&aacute; umožňuje pracovat se satelitn&iacute;mi daty. Vysok&eacute; Tatry patř&iacute; mezi geograficky nejv&yacute;znamněj&scaron;&iacute; horsk&eacute; celky středn&iacute; Evropy. Pohoř&iacute; vzniklo během alp&iacute;nsk&eacute;ho horotvorn&yacute;ch procesů koncem druhohor a zač&aacute;tkem třetihor. Představuje mohutnou klenby t&aacute;hnouc&iacute; se středem Slovenska ve směru v&yacute;chod-z&aacute;pad v d&eacute;lce asi 70 kilometrů, Průměrn&aacute; &scaron;&iacute;řka tohoto pohoř&iacute; čin&iacute; až 30 kilometrů s nejvy&scaron;&scaron;&iacute; v&yacute;&scaron;kou na vrchu Gerlachovsk&yacute; &Scaron;t&iacute;t - 2654 m.n.m. V&nbsp;současn&eacute; době je mnoho &uacute;zem&iacute; pod n&aacute;tlakem kůrovcov&eacute; kalamity, kter&eacute; velmi často předch&aacute;z&iacute; naru&scaron;en&iacute;, např&iacute;klad větrnou kalamitou. Pojďme se nyn&iacute; pod&iacute;vat jak je tyto kalamity možn&eacute; lokalizovat pomoc&iacute; družicov&yacute;ch dat&nbsp;D&aacute;lkov&eacute;ho průzkumu Země.</p>]]></description>

In die-sem Modul sollen diese Unterschiede mithilfe von Fernerkundung herausgearbeitet werden, sowie m&ouml;gliche Konfliktfelder von Mensch und Umwelt in Vulkangebieten er&ouml;rtert werden.</p>]]></description>

</ul><p>Project description</p><p>The course &ldquo;Living on the edge of a volcano&rdquo; mainly focusses on human-environment-interactions at a volcanic landscape. The Italian volcanoes Etna and Vesuvius are both implemented in the everyday-life of the population, but both locations show differ-ences in their land-use structures. Students investigate those differences by using satellite data. They assess implications for people liv-ing close to these volcanoes as well as discuss potential conflicts between the local environ-ment and the inhabitants of these regions.</p><p>&nbsp;</p>]]></description>

	<title><![CDATA[Project sample: Observation of forest changes in the Jizera Mountains]]></title>
	<description><![CDATA[<p><span style="font-size: 12px; font-style: normal; background-color: rgba(255, 255, 255, 0.85098);">In this work, we focus on the restoration of forests in the Jizera Mountains. Your task is to observe this area in two frames from different periods and to compare the development of this site in terms of mining, development, changes in agriculture and land management, based on the Remote Sensing methods.&nbsp;The area is located in the northern, central part of the Czech Republic. It is a border area that is specific to its mountainous surface. Larger towns can be named Liberec or Jablonec nad Nisou. The region is affected by significant changes in the forest ecosystems and, thus, an interesting study area especially for applying remote sensing methods.</span></p>]]></description>

Konkr&eacute;tně se zaměřme na oblast Prahy, kter&aacute; se nach&aacute;z&iacute; v samotn&eacute;m srdci středn&iacute; Evropy.&nbsp;</span><span style="font-style: normal; font-size: 12px;">&nbsp;</span><span style="font-size: 12px; font-style: normal; background-color: rgba(255, 255, 255, 0.85098);">Město Praha, kter&eacute; je velmi často nav&scaron;těvov&aacute;no turisty cel&eacute;ho světa, pro&scaron;lo velk&yacute;m socioekonomick&yacute;m v&yacute;vojem za posledn&iacute; dvě stolet&iacute;, s n&iacute;mž souvis&iacute; i samotn&aacute; podoba a rozložen&iacute; t&eacute;to aglomerace. V&iacute;ce než milion st&aacute;le žij&iacute;c&iacute;ch obyvatel zde každodenně pracuje a odhaduje se, že na půl milionu obyvatel denně doj&iacute;žd&iacute; do Prahy za prac&iacute;. Toto město je tedy pod velk&yacute;m tlakem z hlediska dopravn&iacute;, obslužn&iacute;, datov&eacute; i dodavatelsk&eacute; infrastruktury. To vedlo k cel&eacute; řadě proměn a obecn&eacute;mu rozrůst&aacute;n&iacute; tohoto města do &scaron;irok&eacute;ho okol&iacute;.</span></p>]]></description>

	<title><![CDATA[Project sample: The use of agricultural land in the vicinity of Prague agglomeration]]></title>
	<description><![CDATA[<p><span style="font-size: 12px; font-style: normal; background-color: rgba(255, 255, 255, 0.85098);">In this work, we focus on human influence from the point of view of the decline of agri-managed areas. Specifically, we will focus on the area of Prague, which is located in the very heart of Central Europe.&nbsp;The city of Prague, which is very often visited by tourists around the world, has undergone great socio-economic development over the last two centuries, which is also related to the form and distribution of this agglomeration. More than a million living people work here every day and it is estimated that half a million people travel daily to Prague. This city is therefore under great pressure in terms of transport, service, data and supply infrastructure. This has led to a number of changes and the general expansion of this city into a wide area.</span></p>]]></description>

</ul><p>Project description</p><p>The example of greenhouse farming in Almer&iacute;a deals with human induced environmental transformation and land-use change caused by intensive agriculture. In past decades, fruit plantations in southern Spain have been expanding tremendously. Large areas are covered by a variety of glasshouses instead of natural landscapes. Students analyse the transformation of the environment by working with satellite data as well as assess regional impacts on people and the envi-ronment.</p>]]></description>
